Today, on Love in a Dangerous Time, my guest is well-known singer-songwriter, John McCutcheon. In the 1980s John wrote a song that has become a most beloved song of peace for millions of people. It’s called “Christmas In The Trenches,” and tells of Christmas time in the trenches of World War 1, when the soldiers simply stopped fighting and celebrated Christmas together – German, French, English, Scotts. It was, in my opinion, one of the strongest statements of humanity ever accomplished.

It’s a short program, and you’ll hear the song twice. So please listen now and let me know your reaction.

Merry Christmas to all of The Lovers,

Russ
